3. Appearance of the art car

This Vehicle mutates from Shrine into Creature, static monument to active monster, collecting (eating) recyclable waste from playa. The skin of this creature morphs into rich composition of waste art as the days go by.

4. Design plan for the art car

This vehicles decoration materials are mainly composed with recycle materials such as used CD-ROMs, used clothing, used chopsticks and so others. The front portion of the truck function as cans/bottles recycling carrier, that people on board intent to pick up cans on the playa and bringing the item at the recycle center on it's way back home.

Trailer (Shrine) is equipped with sound system on board, an iconic monument will attract people to participate in our recycling movement.

In addition to it's sophisticated and exciting garbage collecting duty, this project is mainly driven by Japanese burners in Japan and US, (Japan,West/East Coast) The design of the vehicle represents our culture, many of the shrine components are hand carried in to US by many burner from Japan to promote the "No Spectator". We are here to promote the idea of "NO WASTE".

A new concept for those traveling from abroad, by asking them to bring in recycled decorative components for our shrine structure, and take it back home at the end. The Omusubi Engine crew has standard specs and blueprints to share, what the burners abroad need to do isc make holes at certain location of their art piece. Art components will merge into our shrine structure at the playa, just like the ISS, International Space Station concept. This idea will extend it's territory some day!

We will be planning to hand out Japanese soup to the community during our scheduled recycling tour around the playa.

5. Approach towards ecology and art concept

Omusubi Engine is designed with notion of reuse and recycle, intended to collect playa waste by promoting it's activity as well as artists performance (dance, acts, poets, etcc) which are planned to be held on Omusubi Engine's Shrine trailer.

Also, the key factor being Omusubi Engine's international collaboration, sharing the common idea across the pacific ocean. By having these two concepts in mind, we are highly motivated and confidence that Omusubi Engine's soul matches this year's Burning Man concept of green man.
